Pentecost-the dove, the flame and the higher Self
We are told in the Gospels that when Jesus received baptism in the river Jordan, the Holy Spirit was seen to descend upon him in the form of a dove. And the Acts of the Apostles also relate that, on the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came down into the house where all the disciples were gathered and rested on each one as a tongue of fire.
