In their psychic and spiritual lives, human beings are not uniquely men or women as they are on the physical plane. The mystic who contemplates divinity is like a woman who wants to receive a spark, a seed from God. He devotes himself to the light of God; he opens himself to it, changes polarity and then receives this seed in his soul. He carries it within him for a long time in order to give birth in the world to a divine child. In the spiritual realm, a man, like a woman, can conceive and give birth to a child.
In the same way, if a woman who devotes herself to the service of God also learns to change polarity, she becomes active and emissive; through her spirit, she can unite with the universal Soul and give it form.
There are no barren marriages in the spiritual life, but only on the condition that men and women may learn about the laws of polarity.
Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov Daily Meditation 24th December 2017
Christmas Eve is such a sacred time- we celebrate the birth of the master Jesus at that moment but, in the universal brotherhood, the day has a double significance. It was also the time the master Omraam chose to leave his physical body (while in meditation). He left in 1986 but there are still moments when I deeply miss the healing and uplifting warmth of his human presence at the Bonfin- the peaceful, luminous aura that emanated all around him.
The master taught that the Christ is not a human personality but an eternal principle of divine light- a part of God that has entered specially prepared, incarnated beings at certain periods of history. Although the master never claimed to be overshadowed by the Christ spirit I believe that it was the case. (Along with other great spiritual masters that have gifted humanity with the light of their teachings throughout the ages).
Today, I thought I would share one of my favourite recordings of Christmas music found on YouTube. The words are deeply moving- I love the climatic ending which I understand in a universal sense ie Christ representing the principle of divine love, wisdom and truth which does not manifest exclusively through any religion or teachings but through the hearts and souls of all sincere disciples of the one Light. Christmas is a time to prepare the conditions within so we are able to welcome the divine presence, to allow it to work through us- Emanuel- God with us.
The words of this song look forward to a time when life on earth will finally become a true reflection of life as it is above, when ‘the kingdom of God’ has finally descended to the earth plane. They also refer to the four sephiroth of, Malkuth, , Yesod, Hod in the Cabbalistic Tree of Life ( the kingdom, the power and the glory respectively). This means when all the ‘earthly’ energies have been raised up through sublimation to manifest within us as the power and glorious radiance of pure light. This transformation, in turn, allows us to live in the kingdom of God that exists in eternity.
‘Christ is the Lord, forever, ever praise him. His power and glory evermore proclaim.’
For me, it is perfect music for Christmas Eve meditation- takes me to the heights! I hope anyone listening to this finds the same inspiration.
A luminous joyous Christmas and may the work begin! SJJ
